As the weather is getting better, and spring is finally coming, I wanted to compile a list of things I want to do with Oliver this Spring. Now the sun is shining, I feel like we will be able to get out a bit more. I hate spending time inside, and Oliver always seems to be happiest when we are outside. Now we don’t have to worry about taking plenty of layers, hats, gloves and scarves, we can enjoy what Spring has to offer.
Visit the farm
Now Oliver is old enough to enjoy the farm a bit more, I really want to take him to one! Especially as there will be lambs and baby animals, it’s always the best time to visit the farm! We have Fishers Farm and Bockett’s Farm nearby and they are both great to visit.
Get out in the garden
My garden is in much need of some TLC. Over the winter the weeds have taken over and I have plenty of new plants to plant. I want to try and get Oliver involved a little (even though I know it will end up with him eating soil and leaves) I may buy him a little spade so he can try and do some digging as well! Other than gardening, I am hoping to get Oliver a slide for the garden and some other garden toys, so he can have some fun in the sun!
Go on plenty of walks
We often head over to Wisley gardens, and it’s a place I will keep on going to, especially now it’s spring. The spring plants and blossoms will be out in full! Amongst the places I want to visit this spring are Painshill Park, Hatchlands Park and Claremont Landscape Gardens. I have National Trust membership and I have been wanting to visit lots of their properties and make the most of my membership for quite a while now!
Easter baking
Last year I managed a small amount of baking, but with a very little baby, not much was done! Oliver has taken a shining to my KitchenAid so I think he may enjoy watching me bake this year. He loves watch it whirring round. Hot Cross Buns are top of my to bake list, my sister and I made them last year and they were delicious!
Spring/Easter crafts
I’m not sure what the crafts will be, maybe some handprint chicks or fingerprint blossom trees. All I know is I want to try and do some crafty bits! (I might have gone a bit mad and will regret saying this if and when I do these crafts but ah well!)
So that’s a few of the things I want to get up to this spring. Is there anything you would like to do?
oh now I really fancy a hot cross bun!!! Great tips, I hope to do all of them with my two. Also we need to get out and nail the bike for the big one and the scooter for the little one. I’ll be exhausted!!! #DreamTeam
Some lovely ideas here. We have recently planted all our veg and fruit seeds and we are already seeing them sprout. Walks….especially to see the bluebells are a must here. How about visit the local playground? We don’t go enough in the winter. I will be getting the sand and water table back out too #BloggerClubUK
Oh wow your little growing patch is amazing !!! That has inspired me to do some seed sowing !!! We’ve been doing the same as you, farms, walks and making the most of the garden. Let’s hope the weather stays good for the rest of March

I hope you have a lovely Spring – I plan to take my toddler on lots of walks too. And I think a trip to a farm would be good fun for us now too. #BloggerClubUK
All of these are on my list too! I love a farm trip and Bocketts is so good (although I always struggle to get Max away from those ride-on tractors at the entrance!) I’m so looking forward to exploring all our favourite gardens over spring and summer – you’ve listed all our regular haunts there (although I’ve only just discovered Painshill which I feel a bit silly about now!) Thanks for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove
I love all of these. I will make it this weekend with my hubby.
A great list, we baked hot cross buns last year for the first time because you can’t get them in Spain and the boys loved it and we are definitely all about getting out and enjoying the great outdoors! #sharingtheloglove
Lovely ideas! We need to get planning with our little gardening patch and this has been a perfect reminder. I can’t wait for the warmer weather to arrive. Thanks so much for sharing with the #DreamTeam x
These sound like lovely ideas – the bluebell wood looks gorgeous! #bigpinklink
Great ideas, those hot cross buns look amazing I am definitely going to have to try baking some myself now. I love a trip to a farm too and it’s always nice to get out in the garden xx #bigpinklink
Hurrah for Spring! We have always had lots of fun, going for long walks and the youngest collecting sticks! I don’t know what’s up with his sticks obsession? And Easter is such a good idea for baking and EATING hot cross buns. Good ideas. Thanks for sharing with #bigpinklink
This is our perfect list of things to do. We love a trip to the farm and where we have just moved to has the most gorgeous walks that we’ve been taking full advantage of. Easter baking and crafting has started here too and I’m sure there will be lots more by the time Easter arrives. Thank you for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove
Great tips! I love the way you built your garden. Perfect for little ones to start gardening! #sharingthebloglove

Ah I love the warmer spring weather. I think my daughters will be getting outside more in the garden with their Daddy who has expressed a desire to plant carrots. #SharingtheBlogLove
Lovely ideas! Days like today make me want to spend the whole of spring walking in the sunshine! I definitely need to do lots of baking this Easter – it was so early last year that by the time the school term finished Easter was instantly upon us and the time just seemed to pass! This year I should have a few weeks to prepare myself! #sharingthebloglove
Ah I love this. We’ve started going out in the garden more and for more days out at the dinosaur park we have near us where there’s a farm. Baking and crafts for Easter are on my list! #SharingtheBlogLove
Gardening is definitely on the list and our little front yard has started looking green. I started gardening with the kids some few weeks ago and we really had fun.
