My Baby Boy you’re 2

My Baby Boy you’re 2

Well I can’t quite believe I’m here writing this.  How is my little baby turning 2?  I honestly feel like we were only just celebrating your first birthday, in fact I feel like you only just arrived!  But now you’re a walking, talking(ish) toddler!

This year you’ve learnt so many new skills, how to walk, jump and run.  You’re finally starting to talk.  Most words still aren’t comprehensible to the average human, in fact a lot of the time I’m not even sure what you’re trying to tell me, but you’re trying and in the past few weeks, you’ve learnt so many new words.  I’m sure in the next few months you will be chatting to us more and more!

You’re such an inquisitive little boy, you always want to know how things work.  You love pressing a button, opening and closing things, finding out whats inside.  You always want to get involved, not wanting to miss a thing.

You especially love playing with all your cars and trains, anything with wheels on is a hit.  Whenever we go to toddler groups you spend the whole time with the Brio set, you could play with it for hours.  I’m constantly finding cars and trains across the house, from when you’ve pushed them along shouting ‘brum’ or ‘woo woo’.

Puzzles are another favourite, the wooden shape puzzles you do with ease, you always put them in the right holes and have learnt if it won’t fit in the one you want it to you might just need to turn it around.  You’ve also started enjoying doing floor puzzles with me.  You love working out where the pieces all go.

You also love watching TV.  Paw Patrol, Peter Rabbit and Thomas are your favourites.  But this past week you’ve suddenly decided that you really enjoy watching the Disney Cars movies, you point at the television and shout ‘brum’ until I turn it on!  Other favourites are the Gruffalo and Stick Man, which you also enjoy being read the stories of.  You call out excitedly when Stick Man or the Mouse appear on the TV!

You are such a loving little boy, you will always enjoy a cuddle or a kiss.  You have a massive temper on you, and if you don’t get your way you will let everyone know about it!  You are funny and always have us laughing.

I love you my little boy and I can’t wait to see what your third year on this earth brings.  I just know already you’re going to be a great big brother.  There will be plenty more adventures and I can’t wait to experience them with you!

I hope he has a wonderful birthday! He reminds me a lot of Max – he has the same curiosity about how things work, and love of vehicles and jigsaw puzzles. And the same temper too! (It does get better!) I hope you both have a wonderful 3rd year ahead – I’m sure it’ll be an exciting one for you both. Thanks for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove
