With Spring now well and truly here my thoughts are already on the warmer weather. I love the summer. As nice as it is to wrap up warm in the winter, it’s much nicer to not have to worry about whether you’ve remembered your hat, gloves or scarf. This week I had the new Boden children’s catalogue come through my door and I saw a few bits in there I would love to get for Oliver.
I am pretty good at snapping up a bargain, so whenever I see a discount event or sale, I always keep a look out for bits. Whether it be for the next season or next year. However, on occasion I do like like to just get something I love, because I love it! Here are some of my favourite clothing I have found and I am lusting over!
Boden
How gorgeous are these jungle rompers? I love a romper in the summer. Last year Oliver lived most of the summer in them, especially when it was really hot. I always find waistbands uncomfortable in the heat, so why wouldn’t a baby? The design is beautiful on both of the rompers in the twin pack, we really love jungle animals here! They’re currently retailing for £27 and are from newborn up to 18-24 months. They’re a bit more on the pricey side but Boden are always such good quality that they are worth the money!
The ticking romper is absolutely beautiful. I do love a really classic, almost Prince George, look on a little boy, and this ticks all of the boxes! It would be perfect for a baby boy at a summer wedding. I love a blue pinstripe, and I love that the pinstripe is also on the collar, really tying the outfit together. The button detail is really beautiful as well, I can just imagine some little chubby legs coming out of the leg holes! Currently retailing for £28 I think it is worth the money if it was for a special occasion.
JoJo Maman Bebe
I love JoJo and as always their summer range doesn’t disappoint! My two favourite products from there for this summer are the Boat Print Jersey Dungarees and the Whale Applique Romper. Another romper, I know, but they’re so darn cute! I love the applique detail on this one, perfect for a day at the seaside. The dungarees are really cute as well, who doesn’t love a boat print in the summer? Dungarees are cute all year round, but even more so in the summer with their little legs out! The dungarees and romper are both retailing at £17 each.
Next
My top picks from Next were the Dark Blue Denim Shorts and the Navy Gingham and Yellow Chino Shorts. I love denim shorts on little boys, they can be smart but also great for something a bit harder wearing. The chino’s on the other hand look really smart but are also nice and cool. I can imagine this pair of chino’s being pretty versatile and they would go with a lot of other clothing. The chino shorts are retailing at £12-£13 for the two pack and the denim shorts are £7-£8.
