Review: WaterWipes

Review: WaterWipes

When Oliver was a newborn he had very sensitive skin, every wipe I tried gave him a sore bottom.  I used cotton wool and water as much as possible, but quite frankly it’s not exactly the most practical thing to use, especially when you’re out and about.  I was on a hunt to find a wipe that didn’t make his bottom sore and that’s when I came across WaterWipes.  When I first started my blog I wrote a post on my top 10 baby products I couldn’t live without.  I featured WaterWipes on my list, as they are definitely one of the products I couldn’t live without!

Recently I was asked whether I would like to review WaterWipes, and my reply was a big fat yes!  I want to tell the world why they are the best baby wipes on the market, and why I recommend them to everyone!

What is so good about WaterWipes?

WaterWipes are made up of only two ingredients, purified water and fruit extract.  They are free from the irritants you find in many of the other baby wipes on the market, such as alcohol and fragrance.  Did you know that a baby’s skin is 30% thinner and more sensitive than an adults?  The wipes are developed with this in mind, making them the world’s purest baby wipes.  WaterWipes work without the need for soap or chemicals, leaving your baby’s skin cool and clean.  They are the only wipes to be endorsed by Allergy UK, meaning they must be good, right?

Why do we like WaterWipes?

Most importantly they do a really good job at cleaning up a mess!  Whether it’s a dirty bottom or a mucky face, they get rid of the mess quickly and effectively.  In our household we like the fact that the wipes are nice and thick, but still really soft, which is one thing it’s hard to find.  Each wipe is sufficiently wet, and they take a very long time to dry out.  This mean if you accidentally leave the packet open after changing a nappy, you don’t come back to a pack of dry wipes (which I always get so annoyed with)!  I find that with WaterWipes I use a significantly small amount of wipes when dealing with a big mess.  Meaning a pack will last me quite a long time, anywhere between one week and three (child mess dependent)!

Since we first tried out WaterWipes when Oliver was about a month old we haven’t looked back.  I do on the odd occasion buy a different brand, but they never compare.  For me, I think it’s really important to use products which I know are gentle on the skin.  Oliver and I both suffer with eczema, mine is particularly bad on my hands.  This means I tend to have to make sure the products I use for him are also ok for me to use too.  The fact they are approved by Allergy UK, gives me confidence in the brand.

Why should you try WaterWipes?

If you are looking for a wipe that’s gentle on the skin, soft, wet and gets the job done quickly, then WaterWipes are the wipes for you.  Can’t be faffed with cotton wool and water anymore?  Give them a go!  I know that they are a bit pricier than other brands, but they last so much longer.  And they are so much better!  You can often find the multipacks on offer, and if you use Amazon’s Subscribe and Save system they work out at under £1.40 a pack*. Stuart also wants me to let you know, they are the only baby brand he will whole heartedly endorse and recommend to other parents.  So if this doesn’t convince you, I don’t know what will!

WaterWipes are priced at £2.89 and are available from Boots, Amazon.co.uk, Ocado.co.uk and major supermarkets.

I was sent WaterWipes in exchange for an honest review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
